Satellite Internet provides customers with an always on, lightning fast connection without dial-up delays, disconnections or the use of your phone line. Surf the Internet up to 30-times faster, download with ease, read emails, send pictures, or just browse to your hearts content.

Satellite Internet is available within the 48 continental United States. You will need a clear view of the southern sky and a small dish, either mounted to your home or attached to a pole in your yard. As demand for this faster Internet service rises more and more great promotional deals pop up. Shop around and you will be able to save on equipment, installation and monthly service rates. The service is simple to use and setup. The satellite Internet modem simply plugs into a wall outlet and to the Ethernet port on the back of your computer. There is no dialing into an ISP as the service is always on and available 24/7.

There are a few satellite ISP’s out there, but WildBlue and HughesNet are clearly the leaders in the industry. The main difference between the two is how they deliver service to customers. HughesNet uses KU bands, or frequency to transmit, where WildBlue uses KA band. The main difference is that KA is much less crowded than KU band. KU delivery uses one large beam covering the country while KA used by WildBlue uses individual spot beams to cover the same area. The spot beams allow WildBlue to reuse frequencies in other beams in order to maximize bandwidth for its satellites.

Because satellite Internet has a limited amount of bandwidth, they use a Fair Access Policy to regulate the use of the service. Basically, in order to assure that each customer has the same quality of service a limit is placed on the amount of uploading and downloading a customer can perform in a set period of time. HughesNet uses a daily FAP policy, where WildBlue uses a rolling 30-day period of its FAP usage levels. No matter which way FAP is delivered, it is important to note that only 4% off all users get “FAPPED.” If you are over your allotted limit you are simply reduced to dial-up like speeds until you gain more threshold in your account. Satellite Internet can also be a solution for small rural businesses as well, however, it is important to note that the service performance is not recommended for more than two computers. Other limitations on the service would include, Voice Over Internet Protocol over VOIP. Examples of VOIP would be Vonage phone service. Also, the service is not recommended for Virtual Private Networks (VPN) access, because of the latency in the transmitting signal from the modem to the satellite and back down, VPN connections, which require constant authentication simply drop and require authentication over and over.

The cost of Satellite Internet depends on the speed that you require. No matter what your needs are, however, the prices will be competitive with most cable and DSL providers. Like many traditional ISP’s the satellite providers will provide many of the same extras such as; web-based email options with anywhere from 5-10 addresses. Web space usually between 10-20 MB. Virus protection software, alternate remote access dialup service, should you need to access the Internet away from your base setup, the ability to maintain existing AOL accounts if you prefer and equipment warranties.

Satellite Internet providers have enormous customer satisfaction ratings with independent polls showing 94% of satellite internet customers saying they would recommend the service to their friends and family members. Among the areas where satellite service scored highest, reliability of service, speed, price to quality of service ratio, tech support and customer service.

For PC users the requirements include: 300+ MHz processor, 128 MB RAM, Windows ME, 2000 or XP operating systems, 100 MB of free hard drive space and an Ethernet NIC card. For Mac users: 300+ MHz processor, 128 MB RAM, OS10.2+ operating system, 100 MB of free hard drive space and an Ethernet NIC card.

Hotel worker Roshinante has no interest in actively pursuing women, is unconcerned about a career and finds cars a boring.  He is not alone in opting for a quiet, uncompetitive lifestyle.  Roshinante, 31, who prefers the anonymity of his online persona, is one of a growing group of men dubbed “herbivorous boys” by the media.  These men are rejecting traditional masculinity when it comes to romance, jobs and consumption in an apparent reaction to the tougher economy.

This means they forget about being a workaholic/corporate salary-man.              These men were raised as the economic bubble burst. Now they are turning their backs on Japan’s tarditional male roles in what is seen as a symptom of growing disillusionment in their country’s troubled economy. “I hated people telling me, ‘Behave like a man’,” said Roshinante.  He runs discussions on  a popular Japanese social network  for candid discussions about herbivores.  For decades, Japanese men were expected to work full-time after graduating from high school or college, marry and support their wife and children.          

Roshinante, is a university graduate, he has no plans to follow that path. Almost half of 1,000 men aged 20-34 surveyed by market research firm (M1F1) identified themselves as “herbivorous.”  “Herbivores”, is defined literally as grass-eating but in this context as not being interested in flesh or passive about pursuing women.The media  has sent marketing experts on a research to see if there is money to be made from herbivores.Many of whom are spending more time and money on their appearance.Most herbivorous boys lack self-confidence, like to spend time alone, and use the Internet a lot, the survey showed.

The mindset appears to be a reaction to the end of Japan’s late 1980s “bubble economy” of soaring asset prices, when everything looked optimistic, and now an economic slump is inevitable.”Herbivorous men always existed,” said columnist Maki Fukasawa, who is credited with coining the term. “The bursting of the bubble and the collapse of lifetime employment contributed to their increase           Experiencing tough times has given this new breed of men different attitudes about consumption.  

Marriage isn’t on his agenda at the moment, but he couldn’t afford it even if it were.  “I think there are many part-time workers who cannot get a full-time job and cannot plan their life and marriage.  That is also the case of romantic relationships.  While they don’t want to follow the traditional model, they don’t know what to do,” he said.More on this story on bbc news on dish tv.

We have watched 4th and Long on Spike TV in HD with Dish networkWe have seen the intensity on the face of Michael Irving when he talked about finding Jerry ( I spent 1.15 billion dollars on the new Stadium) Jones a football player.It was clear that Michael took this reality show very serious. At the end of what could be one of the most grueling reality shows one man was standing, and earned the shot at being a Dallas Cowboy.Jesse Holley won the reality show and filled the last spot available on the Cowboys 80 man-training roster. Watching the 4th and long show it was easy to see Holley possessed talent.

In 2007 he entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Bengals, and was part of their practice squad. Well with a second chance Jesse took full advantage of the opportunity. Now the question remain will he make it out of Training camp as a member of the Cowboys. His statistics thus far are not overly impressive, 1 catch for 9 yards. Although it is not fear to judge him without watching the games he has played in. He still shows up as part of the roster for Dallas and may very well be on his way to living out his dream of playing in the NFL.

Hopefully he is playing with the same intensity that Michael Irving pushed him with to win the 4th and long show. If there were anyone a young receiver should listen to it would have to be Michael Irving, or Jerry Rice. These two role models played the game hard, did not distract attention from their teams, and did not need to have the spotlight on them all the time.

They played on Championship teams with other superstars, and managed to get the job done. There were no blow-ups between Irving and Aikman, no crying of favoritism of another receiver from rice to Montana, or Young.Jesse Holley keep your head in the game, your eye on the ball, and your negative comments to yourself, and you will be one hell of a receiver for this team. Follow the lead of two of the great receivers of the past Michael Irving, and Jerry Rice. Make your mark in this league with your hands and talent, not your mouth.How bout them Cowboy’s lets get it done this year.
